Retired Sergeant First Class Jimmie Lawson began his military career after graduating from Abraham Clark High School and Union Vocational School in Roselle, New Jersey.
After completing One Station Unit Training in Fort Benning, Georgia, he served as a Rifleman with 3-14 Infantry Light 10th Mountain Division Fort Drum, NY; He has also held various positions of leadership in an Infantry Platoon ranging from Team Leader, Squad Leader, Weapons Squad Leader and Anti-Tank Section Leader.
Retired Sergeant First Class Lawson is a graduate of the U.S. Army First Sergeant Course (Commandants List) and is also a graduate of the Guidance Counselor Course. In addition to his military education, he has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Business Management through Devry University (Magna Cum Laude), and he completed his Master of Business Administration with Faulkner University.
