Our Mission
Being True 2 Vets is built to support retired veterans in their life after service by fighting to increase their VA disability benefits. We’re veteran owned and operated out of Huntsville, Alabama, but capable of providing service to veterans in all states. We understand the VA system on a personal level, and realize just how frustrating it can be. There are so many who have served this country and are dealing with injuries or conditions(both mental and physical) that can be directly linked to their time in the military. Our mission is to ensure that all of our affected veterans are receiving the compensation that they justly deserve.
Company Founder
Retired Sergeant First Class Jimmie Lawson began his military career after graduating from Abraham Clark High School and Union Vocational School in Roselle, New Jersey.
After completing One Station Unit Training in Fort Benning, Georgia, he served as a Rifleman with 3-14 Infantry Light 10th Mountain Division Fort Drum, NY; He has also held various positions of leadership in an Infantry Platoon ranging from Team Leader, Squad Leader, Weapons Squad Leader and Anti-Tank Section Leader.
Retired Sergeant First Class Lawson is a graduate of the U.S. Army First Sergeant Course (Commandants List) and is also a graduate of the Guidance Counselor Course. In addition to his military education, he has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Business Management through Devry University (Magna Cum Laude), and he completed his Master of Business Administration with Faulkner University.
